Accessing Advisr from OPERA

Advisr is fully integrated in OPERA.  Please note that not all OPERA users will have access to A&G services, please check with Primary Eyecare Services to see if you are able to access.

Starting a new advice and guidance session

An Advisr session is created the same way as any other clinical pathway.  You will first need to add or locate a previously added patient from the Manage Patients screen.  We will use a test patient:

We simply select 'Advice & Guidance' from the list of commissioned services. If the patient is eligible, and you have an Advisr account you will now be able to select the service you wish to seek advice from

Choosing your service

Here you will need to select your priority (we have selected Routine), then the clinic type, in this case Glaucoma and then the service.  In this case, we have one service to select, the Glaucoma Advice team at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.  Simply select the service by clicking the box and press next.

Starting your session

You will now see the A&G system open in a new tab.  If you have a pop up manager you may need to allow new tabs from advisr.guide.  The A&G room will look something like this:

Returning to OPERA

Once you have asked your question, completed any required modules (please see other help pages for basic use of Advisr) you can simply close the window and return to OPERA.  Here you will see the session in your manage referrals, and you can return to the A&G session at any time by clicking the blue tab:
